Korean cards are manufactured by Daewon for distributing in South Korea. Their ID was K, then changed into KR.
Being part of the OCG, Korean cards follow Japanese printing schedules. However, they also follow some TCG product lines, such as the Hidden Arsenal series, and have a few exclusive sets and cards.
The Classic sets Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon to Ancient Sanctuary were released fast one after another in an effort to catch up with the 5-year-old game at the time. They were released the same as the TCG, having both a First and Unlimited editions. They used the same rarities, and the Secret Rare cards had the TCG foiling, with diagonal lines. Once all those sets were out they started following the Japanese products more closely, this among other things prompted the Secret Rare foiling change to the OCG cross-style format.
