Speed Duel
Speed Duel (スピードデュエル Supīdo Dyueru) is a beginner format that was used in Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game. It easy to experience and recommend for player to remember the basic on how to play the game. This concept was first introduced in the "Duel Terminal" system under a different ruling system. It was later used as the main gameplay of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Saikyo Card Battle and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.
The rules are:
- 4000 Life Points
- 4 cards in your hand
- 20 cards in your Main Deck
- 5 cards in your Extra Deck
- 3 Monster Card Zones
- 3 Spell & Trap Zones
- Like a normal Duel, first player doesn't draw, only six cards can be in your hand, player that activate a Field Spell Card while another player has a Field on their side will not be destroyed, there can only be 3 cards with the same name in your Main Deck and Extra Deck.
There are Field Spell Zone, Pendulum Zone, Graveyard, Main Deck, Extra Deck and Banished Zone.
How to play
- Shuffle the Deck and draw 4 cards.
- During the Draw Phase, each player draw a card. The player that start first cannot draw, until their next turn.
- During the Standby Phase, certain card will activated.
- Now it Main Phase, player can now use monster, Spell and Trap Card. During this phase, player can either proceed to the Battle Phase or End Phase.
- If its the Battle Phase, the player can use their monster to attack the opponent's monster or directly.
- If its the End Phase, the player has more than seven cards in their hand, a card need to be discarded, so it will be six.
- First player to reduced their opponent's LP to zero, win the Duel.
