Not divisible by 50

In the OCG/TCG, LP, ATK, and DEF values are almost always multiples of 50 during gameplay; the units digit are almost always fractional in nature. Almost almost all monsters have ATK and DEF divisible by 50, and the majority have these values divisible by 100. Except for effects which halve LP, almost all LP-increasing or decreasing effecs are also in multiples of 50.

Non-divisibility by 50 appears more common in the anime / manga; the most notable is the Point-to-Point Transfer ability of The Winged Dragon of Ra used by Yami Marik. Anime and manga monsters that have odd ATK and DEF values or change these values or affect LP are almost retooled to the closest value divisible by 50 (and very commonly the closest value divisible by 100).

Rarely, however, a monster will have one or both values be not divisible by 50. As of now, only seven share this property: five of PaniK's monsters, "Sword Arm of Dragon" and the more recently released "Number S39: Utopia Prime".

Not divisible by 10Edit

In the anime/manga, a few monsters also have an ATK or DEF value not divisible by 10. Utopia Prime and Seven-Armed Fiend are examples.

No monster has an original ATK or DEF not divisible by 10, or have an effect (other than halving the value) that result in the LP, ATK, or DEF value not divisible by 10.

Under rare cases, an effect may result in or depend on a LP, ATK, or DEF value not divisible by 10. The most common method is to halve the values, such as having to pay half of your LP (such as Solemn Judgment), or dealing damage equal to half of the ATK or DEF of a monster (such as Ring of Destruction). This can be done once, especially when the value being used is only divisible by 50. In most cases, it still results in a value divisible by 5, (also by 25 if no values not divisibble by 50 have been involved).

RoundingEdit

It is a game mechanic that should the LP value be halved to a fractional number, that value will be rounded up to the nearest integer. This allows the player to indefinitely use or maintain a card or effect that requires paying half of your LP.

The first time rounding is seen in the anime is in the 46th episode of VRAINS. Playmaker activated Transaction Rollback twice while he had 50 LP left.
