Overview[edit]
WIND monsters are commonly thematically associated with avian and airborne beings. The Monster Types typically associated with WIND are Winged Beast and Psychic.
Effect-wise, WIND monsters are strongly associated with non-destruction removal, such as bouncing or spinning. They are also strongly associated with effects that remove Spell and Trap cards.
In some card effects (e.g. "Greatfly") and in certain video games, the WIND Attribute is positioned as the opposite of the EARTH Attribute.

- WIND is not an Attribute in the original manga's Duel Monsters.
- Similar to WIND monsters' association with Spell and Trap removal effects, many Spell and Trap cards with effects involving the destruction of Spell/Trap cards are also thematically related to winds and wind-related natural phenomena, such as "Mystical Space Typhoon", "Twister", "Typhoon", "Tornado", "Dust Tornado", "Heavy Storm", "Cyclone Boomerang", "Malevolent Catastrophe", "Harpie's Feather Duster", "Pendulum Storm", etc.
