Dark Matter (ダークマター Dākumatā) is a series of DARK Attribute Galaxy monsters with 1300 DEF used by the Darkmen and Zuwijo zir Velgear in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime.
Design
Dark Matter monsters feature two branches: a branch focused on monsters that treats their names to "Dark Matter Mist", and a branch focused on different concepts. Each Dark Matter monster bears a dark-colored crest somewhere on its body.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!! anime, each member of the Darkmen utilizes a different concept for their Dark Matter monsters without the members that treat their name as "Dark Matter Mist". Sabyuas uses Dark Matter monsters based on chivalrous elements; Bruyea uses Dark Matter monsters based on cephalopods; and Zeyet uses Dark Matter monsters based on cheerleaders.
In addition, each member of the Darkmen utilizes a different gameplay strategy that features a different Dark Matter monster that can change its name to "Dark Matter Mist", and a Level 5 monster that is used as part of the Fusion Material for "Dark Matter Enigmata". Sabuyas uses Aggro tactics through "Dark Matter Knight" and uses "Dark Matter Craydoll"; Bruyea uses a combination of "Dark Matter Ocean" and "Dark Matter Octopus" to redirect battle damage and uses "Dark Matter Cloudoll"; and Zeyet uses a combination of Equip Spell Cards and piercing battle damage through "Dark Matter Freya" and uses "Dark Matter Cupidoll".
Playing style
The theme focuses around using face-down monsters for card effects and Fusion Summoning using monsters that change their names to "Dark Matter Mist", which is a nonexistent card.
