Dark Matter (ダークマター Dākumatā) is a series of DARK Attribute Galaxy monsters with 1300 DEF used by the Darkmen in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime.
Design[edit]
Dark Matter monsters appear in two branches: a branch focused on "Doll" monsters and a branch focused on different concepts. Each Dark Matter monster bears a dark-colored crest somewhere on its body.
In the Anime, each member of the Darkmen utilises a different concept for their not-Doll Dark Matter monsters.
Sabyuas: Use Dark Matter monsters based on chivalry's elements.
Bruyea: Use Dark Matter monsters based on cephalopods.
Zeyet: Use Dark Matter monsters based on cheerleaders.
Addiction, each member of the Darkmen utilises a different gameplay strategy that features a different Dark Matter monster that can change its name to "Dark Matter Mist", and a Level 5 monster that's used as part of the Fusion Material for "Dark Matter Enigmata".
Sabyuas: Aggro tactics through "Dark Matter Knight", feat. "Dark Matter Craydoll".
Bruyea: Reflection of battle damage through "Dark Matter Ocean" and "Dark Matter Octopus", feat. "Dark Matter Cloudoll".
Zeyet: Equip Spells and piercing battle damage through "Dark Matter Freya", feat. "Dark Matter Cupidoll".
Playing style[edit]
The theme focuses around using face-down monsters for card effects and Fusion Summoning using monsters that change their names to "Dark Matter Mist", which is a nonexistent card.
