In episode 69, Mako Tsunami uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. He uses this card to Special Summon "The Legendary Fisherman" from his Graveyard.
In episode 74, this card appears within a series of flashbacks that show all of Joey's Duels in Battle City.
In episode 88, this card appears in a flashback Marik Ishtar has when he remembers having his Rare Hunters test out the counterfeit versions of "The Winged Dragon of Ra". As they were counterfeits, the fake cards only caused the Rare Hunters to be killed by a bolt of lightning.
In episode 124, this card is shown in a flashback that Joey has when he remembers all the Duelists he faced on his way to the Battle City Finals.
This card Special Summoned the selected monster to the field instead of returning it to the owner's hand. It is not known whether or not a discard was required.

In episode 85, this card appears in a flashback Maximillion Pegasus has when he explains to Jaden Yuki in the past, people have been trying to playing counterfeit copies of "The Winged Dragon of Ra". These resulted in the people getting struck by lightning due to them invoking Ra's wrath.

In chapter 2, this card is shown alongside a few others in the explanation of how Duel Monster Spirits work in the manga.
