Original series[edit]

In the manga and in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime, this card did not have any upgraded forms, but rather during each of its controller's Standby Phases, it gained 500 ATK and changed appearance to become older-looking. This means that it had additional forms that were not adapted into TCG/OCG cards, and the ones that were do not match in ATK.

  • In episode 215, Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. Yugi then activates "Marshmallon Glasses" to prevent "Doomcaliber Knight" from attacking this card. On Yugi's next turn, this card gained 500 ATK through its own effect. Yami Bakura then activates "Call of the Earthbound" and "Zoma the Spirit". Since the last card that was activated last resolves first, "Zoma the Spirit" is summoned in Defense Position. "Call of the Earthbound" then forces this card to attack "Zoma the Spirit", destroying it. This activates the effect of "Zoma the Spirit", inflicting damage to Yugi equal to double the ATK of this card, but Yugi activates "Turn Jump" to move the turn count forward by three turns, saving himself and increasing this card's ATK by 1500. This card then attacks and destroys "Doomcaliber Knight". In the next episode, Yami Bakura activates "Spirit Sword of Sealing" to remove this card from play. "Spirit Sword of Sealing" is later destroyed when Yugi destroys "Lengard" through its own effect. This card then attacks and destroys "Disgraced Mage", but Yami Bakura returns "Disgraced Mage" and his entire hand back to his deck via the effect of "Disgraced Mage" in order to nullify the Battle Damage he would take. In the following episode, this card gained 500 ATK. After "Silent Magician LV0" and "Marshmallon" attack and destroy two "Necro Soldiers", this card attacks the third "Necro Soldier", but Yami Bakura activates "Narrow Corridor" to negate the attack as Yugi had already attacked with two of his monsters. On Yugi's next turn, this card gained 500 ATK. This card then attacks and destroys the last "Necro Soldier" while "Silent Magician LV0" attacks and destroys "Necro Mannequin". On Yugi's next turn, this card gains 500 ATK. This card and "Silent Magician LV0" then attack and destroy two "Necro Wall Tokens". Yugi then activates "Aria From Beyond" to activate the effect of Yami Bakura's "Spirit Sword of Sealing", removing this card from play. In the next episode, this card was freed from the effect of "Spirit Sword of Sealing" when Yugi's "Gandora the Dragon of Destruction" was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard due to its own effect. This card then attacks directly, winning Yugi the duel.
  • In episode 221, Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. "Obelisk the Tormentor", but Yugi activates "Turn Jump" and "Ground Erosion", however Atem activates "Summoning Clock" in response to the activation of "Turn Jump". "Turn Jump" then moves the turn count forward by three turns. This increases this card's ATK by 1500 through its own effect and grants "Summoning Clock" three "Turn Counters". Yugi then sends "Ground Erosion" to the Graveyard to decrease the ATK of "Obelisk" by 1500. Atem then activates the effect of "Summoning Clock" to Special Summon "Slifer the Sky Dragon", "Queen's Knight" and "King's Knight" by sending "Summoning Clock" to the Graveyard and Tributing his Tricky Token. To prevent "Slifer" from destroying this card, Yugi activates "Ambush Shield" to tribute "Red Gadget" and increase this card's ATK by the DEF of "Red Gadget" until the End Phase. In the next episode, the effect of "Ambush Shield" expires on Yami Yugi's End Phase. On Yugi's Standby Phase, this card gained 500 ATK. Later "Slifer" attacks this card, but Yugi activates "Mirage Ruler". "Slifer" then destroys this card. "The Winged Dragon of Ra" then attacks and destroys "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior". "Obelisk" then attacks directly, but Yugi activates the effect of "Mirage Ruler" to revive his monsters and restore his Life Points to how they were before Yami Yugi. After that, "Mirage Ruler" forced Yugi to pay 1000 Life Points. This forces Yami Yugi to call off his attack. On Yugi's Standby Phase, this card gained 500 ATK. Yugi then Tributes "Valkyrion" to summon his three Magnet Warriors from the Graveyard. This activates "Slifer's" effect, but Yugi activates "Magnet Force" to redirect the effect of "Slifer" effect to the Egyptian Gods, decreasing their ATK by 2000. This card then attacks "Obelisk", but Atem activates "Mirror Force" to destroy this card and Yugi's Magnet Warriors.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Yugi has when he explains how his "Mirage Ruler" Trap Card was able to save himself from losing the Duel.
