OCG Rulings

  • The Xyz Monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by this effect is not treated as being properly Summoned.[1]
  • After the effect is activated, "Bahamut Shark" itself cannot attack that turn. (Other monsters can attack.)[1]
  • The effect of "Bahamut Shark" can also be activated during the Main Phase 2. (It can be activated even if "Bahamut Shark" attacked during the Battle Phase of that turn.)[1]

Q&A Rulings

  • Q: When resolving the effect of "Bahamut Shark", if there are no Xyz Monsters in the Extra Deck that can be Special Summoned, how does the effect resolve?
A: When resolving the effect of "Bahamut Shark", if there are no Rank 3 or lower WATER Xyz Monsters in the Extra Deck that can be Special Summoned, you cannot Special Summon any Xyz Monster by the effect of "Bahamut Shark". Even in that case, "Bahamut Shark" cannot attack this turn.[2]
A: When resolving the effect of "Bahamut Shark", even if control of "Bahamut Shark" was switched to the opponent, the player that can Special Summons an Xyz Monster from the Extra Deck is the player that activated the effect of "Bahamut Shark". It is not the player that took control of "Bahamut Shark" by the effect of "Enemy Controller".[3]
A: If the effect activation of "Bahamut Shark" is negated by the effect of "Light and Darkness Dragon", "Bahamut Shark" can attack that turn.
If the effect of "Bahamut Shark" is negated by the effect of a "Skill Drain" activated in Chain, "Bahamut Shark" can attack that turn.
If "Skill Drain" is applied after an Xyz Monster has been Special Summoned by the effect of "Bahamut Shark", "Bahamut Shark" cannot attack that turn.[4]
