OCG Rulings
- When the targetted monster's Type is no longer a Plant, "Plant Food Chain" is destroyed.[1]
- The effect which Special Summons a Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard targets.[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - If the equipped monster is changed to another Type, this card will be destroyed.
- This card's effect targets the Plant-Type monster to be Special Summoned.
- This card's effect to Special Summon starts a Chain.
- If "Plant Food Chain" and the monster it is equipped to are destroyed at the same time, you can activate the effect to Special Summon a monster.
- If "Plant Food Chain" is equipped to a monster, and is destroyed by an effect that is Chain Link 2 or higher, you can activate "Plant Food Chain's" effect after that Chain resolves.
