OCG Rulings
- If a monster on the opponent's field is destroyed by battle or by a card effect, then the effect of "Shiba-Warrior Taro" will activate.[1]
- If an effect like "Book of Moon" is Chained to the effect of "Shiba-Warrior Taro" so that "Shiba-Warrior Taro" is face-down at resolution, then the effect of "Shiba-Warrior Taro" is not applied and "Shiba-Warrior Taro" is not returned to the hand.[2]
- If a monster is destroyed by battle, then the effect of "Shiba-Warrior Taro" activates when the destroyed monster is sent to the Graveyard.[3]
- If a card is destroyed in the middle of a Chain, then the effect of "Shiba-Warrior Taro" activates as a new Chain after the current Chain resolves.[3]
