- This card can be searched by "Pre-Preparation of Rites", "Preparation of Rites", "Impcantation Talismandra", "Senju of the Thousand Hands", "Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands", "Herald of the Arc Light", "High Ritual Art", "Transonic Bird", "Renewal of the World", "Stars Align across the Milky Way", "Choju of the Trillion Hands", "Drytron Alpha Thuban", "Evening Twilight Knight", "Vendread Battlelord", "Prediction Princess Crystaldine", "Spiritual Whisper", "Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen", "Kittytail, Mystical Beast of the Forest", "Fire Fortress atop Liang Peak", "Frontline Observer", and other generic searchers.
- This card can be Ritual Summoned with "Earth Chant."
- Best used in a Deck heavy with Normal Monsters, or even better, with "Advanced Ritual Art", so that there will already be Normal Monsters in the Graveyard for "Lycanthrope's" effect to activate.
- Use only Level 1 monsters for Advanced Ritual Art's cost, maximizing the amount of Normal Monsters in the Graveyard for Lycanthrope's effect.
- Can be used along with "Big Bang Shot" or "Strike Slash" to get through defensive monsters then activate effect. "Enraged Battle Ox" works for this as well if your spell and trap zones are full.
- It's great if you use the effect of "Magical Merchant" and "Big Eye", so you lose Normal Monsters, but get to make sure you don't lose anything vital by changing around the top 5 cards of your Deck.
- This card also works with discarding-effect monsters or spells, so you can discard Normal Monsters to your Graveyard easily, such as: "Card Destruction", "Dark Grepher", "Red Ogre", Dark World, Fabled, etc.
- Use "Lycanthrope" for Syncho Summon. Use "Advanced Ritual Art" to Ritual Summon it. Then Normal Summon a level 2 Tuner to Synchro Summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster, such as: "Stardust Dragon", "Red Dragon Archfiend", "Colossal Fighter", etc.
- It's good to have this card in Gemini monsters deck, because they are Normal Monsters while in the Graveyard. Also, many Gemini Decks are built around Summoning from the Graveyard, anyway.
- Equip it with "Ritual Weapon" so it would gain 1500 ATK point with a total of 3900.
- This card works well with "Card Trooper", as you can send Normal Monsters to the Graveyard and 2 copies of it can fulfill the cost required to Ritual Summon this monster.
- This card can be useful in a Hieratic Deck. Use "Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit" or "Hieratic Dragon of Su" to pay the entire cost and bring out a Level 6 Normal Monster like "Wattaildragon", "Luster Dragon 2", or "Meteor Dragon" to quickly Xyz Summon a Rank 6 Monster Cards. You will get a Normal Monster at least on the field which would quickly fill the Graveyard to boost "Lycanthrope".
- This card can be useful in a Magikey Deck. With "Lycanthrope" not being reliant on the Attribute of monsters, you can Ritual Summon it to inflict Effect Damage using the Normal Monsters that were tributed to summon "Magikey" monsters from the Extra Deck. It may not be the same levels as Magikey Mechmusket - Batosbuster or Magikey Mechmusket - Batosbuster, but this lets it work as a good sideboard option.
