Card Tips:Number 74: Master of Blades
- This card can be targeted with your own cards and effects to trigger its destruction effect.
- However, keep in mind this card needs to negate AND DESTROY whatever targets it to be able to then destroy another card on the field, meaning targeting it with card effects which activate / resolve in the Graveyard (and thus, cannot be destroyed by its negation effect) won't let you use the latter part of the effect of destroying 1 more card.
- As such, "Skill Prisoner" can be used to trigger "Master of Blades" (but only if activated from the field), while still being able to provide protection later on via its GY effect.
- Since this card's Quick Effect is not limited to once per Chain, if "Fiendish Chain" or "Breakthrough Skill" is chained to this card's effect activation, if it still has Xyz Materials left, its effect can be activated again.
- Being a "Number" monster, "Astral Kuriboh" can be used to summon this card, thus making it indestructible by opponent and can only be removed by non-target non-destruction removal effect while it has material.
