  • This card is based on Fenrir, a wolf in Norse mythology, who is the son of Loki and the giantess Angrboða.
  • This card's WATER Attribute and Summoning condition is a reference to Fenrir taking the form of a wolf-shaped mist, which is the high temperature dispersion of water.
  • This card's effect of forcing the opponent to skip their next Draw Phase as a result of battle is a reference to how Fenrir bit of the hand of Tyr during thier battle.
    • Also, this card's effect is similar to that of the Spirit monster "Yata-Garasu", except it only activates when this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, while "Yata-Garasu's" effect activates after it inflicts battle damage.
