嗤う黒山羊 , Runperu Toiferu) is a conjugation of rumpeln, the German word meaning "to rattle", while the second portion of the name is based on the German word for the "Devil".- Rumpeln is also used in the name of Rumpelstiltskin, a German fairy tale about the titular magical imp. In the fairy tale, Rumpelstiltskin grants a woman's request to spin straw into gold in exchange for taking her firstborn child as payment. Reluctant to give up her child, the woman agrees to instead take on the imp's challenge and guess his name within three days. If she succeeds, the imp will forgive her payment.
