Well, now that Fishborg is banned and Formula Synchron is limited, Frognarchs need a new draw engine. Here's a deck based around one I've discovered.

WARNING: WALL OF TEXT AHEAD

Three things should immediately jump out at you: 1. Only five Monarchs. 2. Three of them are Kuraz. 3. The Creator.

And now is when I explain this new draw engine. Standby Phase, Treeborn comes out. Creator's effect, revive Kuraz. Kuraz's effect, pop self and Frog. Draw 2. It sounds situational, but it's really not, and Kuraz is helpful plenty of times. Since he can't attack the turn he's summoned, I'll usually destroy him as one of the cards in order to draw. I use Kuraz to draw more often than I use him to destroy. Its easy to do since the deck has a lot of expendable cards: Fluff Tokens, Treeborn Frogs, Battle Faders, Tengus, Plants, Sangan, set MSTs when I don't have Frog in Grave for plusses, etc. Basically, the deck revolves around Kuraz. He's so freaking good. The choice of getting rid of troubling monsters or drawing a ton of extra cards is fantastic.

Those same expendable cards are really good with Scrap Dragon, who's fairly easy to make with a level 4 Spore and a Tengu, or Debris + Dandy and Treeborn. That fact makes the Tengu Plant Engine really good in this deck.

But the real star player here is Swap Frog, who loads up the Grave with Treeborns, Swaps, and Toadin, the last of which helps me bring out The Creator much more consistently, and is also great fodder for Tributes, Kuraz, and Scrap Dragon. To get him more consistently, I've turned to the consistency engine of the format: Tour Guide. Tour Guide is mostly used to grab Sangan early so I can start getting stuff done, but it's also really good for Leviair/Leviathan plays, the former of which lets me recycle removed Swaps/Treeborns for even MOAR Kuraz abuse.

I love love LOVE Enemy Controller in the deck, it's so good. Standby, Treeborn comes out. E-Con, take your Gachi/Hyperion/Stardust/Whatever. Attack directly. MP2, pop with Kuraz and draw draw draw. This card gets it done all day.

Everything else is pretty self-explanatory. Cards that I want to try but haven't found anything that "isn't working" for me to make space: Third Caius, 2 Tragoedia, 2-3 Effect Veiler, BLS, and One for One. Also, this is only on DN at the moment, but if I were to make it in real life, game 2 after they sided out their MSTs and such, I would bring in 2 Call of the Haunted and use them with Kuraz as Pot of Greed. Thoughts? Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 03:35, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

Unless I'm missing something, there is only 27 monsters. From your description, is there 3 Faders, maybe? Anyways, those spots can be filled with 2 Trago and 3rd Caius/BLS. If you want to include any of the others, it looks like you'll have to drop an engine. Looks like an awesome deck with many options, though. I'll probably have to try this myself! :D Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 01:29, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, 3 Faders. I got a chance to try BLS, there aren't enough Lights or Darks to use him properly. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 01:38, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm, that's actually pretty cool idea! My only true source of draw power was Hand Destruction, but this is much better! Kudos to you!NotARealUsername (talkcontribs) 03:29, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I wasn't sure how he would work out. :P Yeah, you're gonna have to remove an engine, such as Tour Guide, if you want to add that last Caius (which would probably be wise), 2 Trago/Veiler, and One for One. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 11:02, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

I'm temporarily (and almost certainly not permanently) dropping the Faders to test Trags, and Mind Control for Kuraz and synching. I do want to try and work in the third Caius, as he's been really helpful pretty much always. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 20:16, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

This deck works quite well, but...not how it's supposed to. :P I've found that The Creator is great and all, but Kuraz is so tough to get into play with him. Basically, it is somewhat situational. In most duels, by the time I have the play set up, I'm already about to win, and I'd assume revive a Tuner, or something to that effect. I didn't run Tour Guide or Tengu, as I built this on WC 2011, and it still works pretty well. I also haven't been able to get my hands on Trago yet, but Veiler is worthy of adding if you can make room. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 01:28, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

LOL . I had the same idea for this deck. But instead , i used DDR , to bring back Kuraz . (i used a macro build). Very good idea , but could not pull it off when needed. But ur build is more constant whith the frog and creator. Still . Nah . Let me explain . U want kuraz draw engine to change the game in ur favor . But u cant change it . (only if u have the enemy controllers in ur hand). With having to many monsters (most dont special summon itself or another) , u just draw cards that u may not need . Idea . Add Soul Exchange . remove some monsters .

ps. I like all ur builds . Ddeevviiss (talkcontribs) 11:40, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

I can change the game in my favor by drawing into a game-changing card, like the Caius to remove a Stardust, the Debris Dragon to make a Synchro, the Tour Guide to make an Xyz, or the Gorz. I've never found that I've been stuck with a card I don't need, and if I am, I pitch it for Creator or pop it with Kuraz. I've never had any consistency issues, the deck has multiple ways to set up and can do so very consistently. Soul Exchange is something to consider, as Kristya kills the deck, and Stardust can be an issue if I don't have Caius or something over 2500. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:22, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Question: if Debris brings back Ronintoadin, can you Synchro Summon with it? You might want to try Birdman - it can make Locomotion, which alone is awesome, but it also returns Caius. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 19:37, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

No, Toadin is a condition. Birdman isn't a great card for the deck, other than Gorz and Caius, I don't have anything I'd want to bounce. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 20:43, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for before Lappy. I builded ur deck , and tried it a lot. It is very good . But i dont see Kuraz alot. U dont need Soul Exchange , but a spell card for drawing maybe Pot Of Avarice. And regaring kuraz , i mostly used it for offence , not drawing . Still good build Ddeevviiss (talkcontribs) 09:28, October 21, 2011 (UTC)

I'm liking Tragoedia a lot, and the third Caius is very nice. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to cut. And Ddeevviiss, that's the beauty of Kuraz, you can use it to draw or to blow stuff up. Either way. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:09, October 21, 2011 (UTC)

You could bring Kuraz to two, he's not as good as Caius in hand. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 23:35, October 21, 2011 (UTC)

Kuraz at 3 is needed, he is still good in hand and I need him as consistently as possible. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 03:10, October 22, 2011 (UTC)
