My Deck and Reason of Posted Forum

Well I was bored so I decided to post this to see some other opinions. Thanks in advance.

  1. Note: "When Not Forbidden" means when it is not forbidden I will exchange it for another card similar to it (ex. Mirror Force for Negate Attack), this is so if for any reason every card that has been forbidden becomes forbidden my deck will still have an ideal form.
  2. Note: I really don't care about the number of cards in the side deck, because I rarely use it. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 21:44, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Dragons of Darklight

Deck:"Dragons of Darklight"

**1: Depending on who I duel I may switch Super Polymerization with Polymerization.
*1: Due to the fact Monster Reborn is currently limited, it has replaced Premature Burial.
*2: Due to the fact Mirror Force is currently limited, it has replaced Negate Attack.

  • Personally, I'd rather use the variants of Red-Eyes B. Dragon in this deck, including Chick and Darkness Dragon. They're easier to summon overall than that large number of Blue-Eyes and its variants. But that's just me. Speedball 20:01, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

You have alot going on in this deck, but I see 2 major problems: Draw Power and your overly reliant on BEWD with too few ways to bring him to the field. First, I'd place these cards into your side deck or remove them altogether: Revoke Fusion, Burst Stream, Diff Dimen Capsule, Black Luster Soldier, Advanced Ritual Art, Dragon Master Knight, Super Poly, A Hero Emerges, Draining Shield, Negate Attack, Magic Jammer. I'd replace these last three with Solemns, Magic Drain, and/or Threatening Roar (Waboku) because you can chain them. I'd probably also remove one Shining, but I'd have to see how the deck runs with just 2. I'd add Premature Burial and Mirror Force (which isn't Banned, just Limited right now) for sure. Other cards I'd put in, though you'd have to test is: Anciant Rules, Kiaba Man, Foolish Burrial, Swing of Memories/Birthright, Miracle Fusion and Trade-In (however, if I was to run Trade-In I'd run 2/3 of them with also Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry and 3 Anciant Rules), which almost gaurantees a summon or a 2 card draw. The other way is to switch out some of your dragons for the Armed Dragons which work with Simorgh better (which is a deck I've been fiddling with right now, though without the cyberdarks). It really comes down to figuring out the best way to get your primary monster on the field fast and easily while minimizing the worst hands you could draw. For example, the Yubel deck on my page - I can get Yubel out on the field 9 out of 10 times within my second turn. Having BEWD in the graveyard brings options and with the cyberdarks through the use of future or miracle fusion or Cyber Impact is downright dominating. Hope this helps. • (yep, Miracle Fusion is the best card for dragon decks) I take it you mean Dragon's Mirror. I post the "when not forbidden" note on this page too I guess. Thank you. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 21:59, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Forgot Dragon Mirror and Miracle Fusion are about the same, but with that in mind, I'd run 2 Foolish Burials and at least 4 of Dragon's Mirror and Miracle's along with cards which would drop cards into your graveyard, ie Lightning Vortex. Then run at least 2 DDR's. Lightning Vortex to Drop, Fusion Summon, DDR a monster from removed from play, and smash. I'll have to think on this more and if I come up with anything I'll let you know. Kaiba would be proud, but you wouldn't know it because he's a bad@$$ and doesn't show emotion, like me. User:Land_of_dogs

Cool deck. Adding BEWDs may seem risky if not used properly, and I would rather play BEUD/DMK with De-Fusion, but this deck sure rocks. Rayqui 14:49, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

I like what I see A LOT. But...hmm...personally, throwing King Dragun and when released Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon. Also, Paladin of White Dragon works like clockwork in this deck, if you have Advanced Ritual Art. Dunno if you wanna put in Decoy Dragon. And contrary to popular belief...Field Spells will be NICE in here...and I mean Luminous Spark, and even more fun on it, Demise of the Land. That's all I can think of for the moment. Oh! Completely forgot, to get the high-levels out quicker, it's a simple deal to throw in Cost Down and Level Conversion Lab. Maverick Skye 22:17, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

  • King Dragun is obviously a good choice throught I know perfectly that getting it is quite difficult. I recommend a searcher for Kaibaman like Sangan, in case you wanna keep Kaibaman, but I feel Paladin is certainly better. Dark Paladin is an useful tool in Dragon decks but I know you dislike him, and he not of vital importance throught it still a good option. About RE vs BE, REBD evolved forms are easy to summon, but usually not worthy, unless you like them too much or you want a deck around him I don't recommend them at all. This deck focuses on BEWD, whose evolutions are harder to use but actually worth it. Well, its been a while since I played a duel and I can't remember too many good dragon cards, sorry if I'm too late in this. --Dragon Slayer (Contribs Count) 16:58, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Conclusions...so far.

Well this deck is based on power so red-eyes is not a good a blue-eyes. Most of the good draw power has been restricted and I don’t want to use Pot of Avarice (does not help the Cyberdarks) so maybe Cup of Ace or Trade-In. I use Mirror Force currently but because at one point Mirror Force was banned is the reason why it is under the heading WHEN NOT FORBIDDEN. I use Ancient Rules, but Revoke Fusion is barely restricted to any card with my deck and helps the Cyberdarks (if I get Fusion Guard I will get rid of it). Kaibaman was good but I usually got him…when I did not have Blue-Eyes. I have Birthright but Monster Reborn is currently limited. Armed Dragon, as good as it is, ticks me off and I rarely get them to work like I need them to. And my Dominate monster is a tie between Cyberdark Dragon and Blue-Eyes (Shining). De-Fusion is good but when I have that, Ironically I never summon a Fusion I can use it on (one of the few times Dragon's Mirror has screwed me over). I am currently trying to get a King Dragun and … I take it you mean Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon which I agree with. Depending on how well Exploder does I may use Kaibaman or Paladin. I would like to use a Field spell, but none of them benefit my deck as a whole, except Mountain … and no I am not going to use mountain. Ummm…good job Maverick Skye, I am considering Cost Down and Level Conversion Lab deeply (LCL the most). I thank you all. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 15:57, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Deck Thoughts. Whee~daydreaming.

I'm not helping you. I'm just thinking to myself. It'd be rude if I tried to fix a dragon deck made by D.Master.

What I (not you) am Thinking

  • D.Master has better Dragon cards than Hunter Dragon. I know he does.
  • (Hypnotizes D.Master): Youu waant threee Explooder Dragonn!
  • Once a upon a time, three Elemental Hero Prisma said to D.Master, "Hi."
  • King of the Swamp can't find one Polymerization.
  • Revoke Fusion doesn't work if there's no Polymerization. D.Master disappoints King of the Swamp once again!
  • Dragons are vain, especially that Five-Headed one. He doesn't possess 5 Dragon's Mirrors so he has to do with 3.
  • All Dragons like a Premature Burial.
  • Draining Shield's for them Fairies.
  • Magic Cylinder's for them Burners.
  • Dragons like shiny Mirror Force. They're vain like that. Negate Attack looks like a mirror, and can be used if Mirror Force isn't found.
  • Dragons like being Trade-In fodders because they're greedy creatures. They like these as many Trade-Ins as possible.
  • Sometimes owners must be honest with their Dragons. Solemn Judgment comes in threes, and they are very handy in helping your Dragons stay in order. Sometimes they are hard to come across, so sometimes owners use Magic Jammer in threes and Seven Tools of the Bandit in twos to help keep the order.
  • Dragons are fascinated by Lightning Vortex. They see it two times a day.

Just daydreaming. That's all. Chris427 00:50, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

  • I think you can use both Monster Reborn AND Premature Burial. Chris427 05:27, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
    • Yeah but I kind of like keeping things good and...Dead. I don't like Zombies and neither do my dragons. Plus...my dragons tend to be happy with dragons in the graveyard. "I just saying". Dmaster (Contribs Count) 05:37, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Seriously though... I think Elemental Hero Prisma is needed. It would be my prioritized suggestion - if I were to be suggesting. :) Chris427 06:52, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Really bad advice

  • Perhaps I'm not the best person to give deck advice, but perhaps you should take out Black Luster Soldier and add cards like King of the Swamp that can be used in other fusions in case you ever need them. And Double Summon would probably be a good idea, too. Hmm...maybe not. Bluedog187 16:00, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Don't be so ascetic. King of the Swamp is a good idea to increase by, but in the case of this deck - it's not. While Black Luster Soldier seems like a dead draw, this deck utilizes the hard-to-summon Dragon Master. Polymerization is scarce, so King of the Swamp is therefore not as useful as it may seem. It's up to DMaster to figure it out. Chris427 00:25, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
    • Usually when I duel I won't take the time and effort to summon DMK. But what I do is I use KotS's effect to discard it, wait till BLS is in the Grave and use Dragons Mirror. I rarely am able to use Polymerization, but I do when I can. Thanks for your advice! Dmaster (Contribs Count) 02:25, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
      • I'm going to repeat myself. Elemental Hero Prisma is needed. Chris427 02:51, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
        • You're just really trying to push that card at me, aren't you? I can see it's use for CDD and DMK, but...I don't have a soft spot for E-Heros. But I'll try and get one anyway and try it. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 03:19, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

END OF ELEMENTAL HERO PRISMA DISCUSSION XD.

  • Hokay. It's sorta expensive; I can't even get 3. But look into the Hex-Sealed Fusions? Pleaz. Chris427 23:47, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
