DECK ENTRIES

The Supremacy Sun

Why not explain (this was Lappyzard's idea by the way): This is a Monarch deck, post banlist. It only has one Formula Synchron and no Fishborg Blaster. That means I need to make do by other means. I've tried this out as an Obelisk deck, and it works-you can get lots of tribute monsters out at no cost.BobaFett2 (talk)

...Sigh... I spent writing half-hour description and I ran into an error... What a pain...

This deck is mostly Chaos Deck, revolving around the theme of an apocalypse. The main focus of this deck is to use The Supremacy Sun's effect to the fullest and use him as a 3000 beatstick. Skill Drain is used to negate the monster's effect on the field, since The Supremacy Sun's effect activates in the graveyard and takes out all the stalling monsters. Though this is used if the opponent's monster are annoying or last resort. Temple of the Sun and Megamorph gives him a nice boost. To prevent him from being removed from play, Divine Wrath, Solemn Judgement and Destruct Potion to stop that.

For The Supremacy Sun's Cost, the Fabled archetype swarming and effect will be taken advantage as well as Necro Gardna's effect and Marie the Fallen One's too. This is the same for cost that has 'discard' as a cost. To bring The Supremacy Sun out faster, Mausoleum of the Emperor, Fires of Doomsday and Double Coston will help out. Chaosdukemon (talkcontribs) 20:42, August 24, 2011 (UTC)

Splendid Venus

This deck's main goal is to summon Venus or any other Fairy monster by using Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen, the Hecatrice is too help in that. The Dimensional Alchemist/Agent Earth help speed the deck up in terms of getting monsters into the hand. Hyperion is just great card destruction, the Return from the Different Dimension help go into game using the various monsters banished by Hyperion and Alchemist. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 22:06, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

I'm going to do something that no one else here (at time of posting) has done; I'm going to explain my deck. When I was looking at the Planets and deciding which one to work with, I thought they were all pretty bad, until a line of text on Splendid Venus caught my eye: "The activation and effects of your Spell and Trap Cards cannot be negated." I thought to myself, now there's something I can work with. As far as a Trap lockdown, Royal Decree was the obvious choice, but I needed an effective two-way Spell lock as well. When I stumbled upon Sky Scourge Invicil, I knew that I had a deck to make. Valhalla is used so that Venus can hit the field straight away and begin using her effect. The remaining monsters allow me to Tribute Summon Invicil and begin the Spell lock, and Gellenduo can be used to get Venus out if I have to summon Invicil first. To close out the lock, I have 2 Orange Heralds to negate effects. Once I have Venus, Invicil, and Decree out, with Orange Herald in hand, that's pretty much game. Venus' other effect helps keep Invicil from getting run over. I hope you like my deck! Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 23:06, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Elemental HERO Terra Firma

Ah, it's good to be back! It is good to see so many new users. Now, about the deck. It's goal: make two or more Fusions and wreck your opponent's field and Life Points. Not an original concept, but a highly effective one. This is not a Cold Terra OTK, but it often does OTK as found out during the course of my testing.

The deck performs much like Twilight, but without all of the inconsistencies. Big Fusions are dropped often and in multiples, forcing my opponent to flip their Mirror Force or die. Polymerization + Miracle Fusion are the source of most of this havoc, but Leviair the Sea Dragon can turn the tide of the game as well. My monsters often get banished through Miracle Fusion and Gold Sarcophagus, so a Leviair made by Tour Guide From the Underworld will create massive plusses (provided we are playing by TCG rules). There is also a huge disruptive quality added to the deck via Super Polymerization, which can suck up any opposing monster (usually I save it for a Synchro or Xyz) along with one of my HEROes and turn it into something nice.

The rest of my deck is pretty straight forward, but the most important thing about my build is what I excluded. Cards like De-Fusion and Assault Armor work only when I'm winning and can be dead when I'm losing. I don't like cards like that. Future Fusion and Fusion Sage are unnecessary; my deck can accomplish it's goal without them. Solemn Warning would've been nice, but I didn't have enough room and it wasn't needed. If you read this entire block of text, you have my thanks. If you vote for me, I'll be your slave for a day. -bewk

Sorry for the delay everybody. Just got back from vacation and only had two days to get this done.

The Big Saturn

Lappy explained his deck, so I guess I will too. This deck uses a Macro engine to get out The Big Saturn. I got the idea when I realized that there is another option besides special summoning Saturn from the Graveyard. It makes use of recyclable tribute fodder like D.D. Survivor and D.D. Scout Plane. Gilasaurus is also here because the opponent will ideally not have a Graveyard. Cyber Valley, Battle Fader, and Tragoedia offer protection, with Cyber Valley offering Draw Power as well. D.D.M., D.D.R., and Escape from The Dark Dimension are here to Special Summon a banished Saturn. Soul Absorption gives you enough LP to pay the cost for The Big Saturn's effect many times and so you don't have to worry about his damage causing effect. Rainbow Life is here to turn it into a positive effect instead of a drawback. -- Summoned Skull 2: Electric Boogaloo 22:24, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Well first of all, I'd like to say thank you for restarting WDC! I've always wanted to participate but never got a chance. Thank you so much to BobaFett2 and Dark Ace SP for giving me this opportunity!

Now then, I suppose I need to talk about the deck. When we had to pick a Legendary Planet card to build the deck around, I had to look at each one, as I had never read the GX Manga, so I didn't really know what they were.

In the end, I chose The Big Saturn as my main card. He looked cool, had a great effect, and out of all the discovered planets, Saturn has always been my favorite.

The basic win conditions revolve around a three card combo.

1) Summon The Big Saturn and pay as many life points and cards as possible to his effect.

2) Equip him with Fairy Meteor Crush.

3) Activate Limiter Removal and attack for an OTK.

Of course, having said that, it is much easier said than done. How is one to accomplish this feat? There's no guarantee that the cards will be there. How do we fix that?

To solve this problem, we use the universal searcher, Gold Sarcophagus. Whichever one of the three you need, Gold Sarc will find it for you. And it's the only card in the game capable of searching out any of the three (besides Different Dimension Capsule, which was ignored on the account of the heavy s/t removal in this format; we don't want to lose one of our keycards permanently, now do we?).

Now that we have the cards we need, there's still one problem. How the hell do we play them? Fairy Meteor Crush and Limiter Removal are simple. You slap them down onto your Spell & Trap Card Spaces. The Big Saturn is a little bit trickier. Since it cannot be Special Summoned, we must go back to the good old days of Tribute Summoning.

Tribute Fodder is incredibly easy to get with this deck. The Gadget cards will continually supply monsters in your hand to play, Monster Reborn can bring back a fallen monster to be sacrificed, Double Coston can cover for both tributes, and Cyber Dragon can be played without wasting your Normal Summon. (One reason why you should always choose to go second with this deck, whenever possible.)

But the main card is Machine Duplication. This card can be used to get more Cyber Valley or Swift Scarecrow from the deck. In addition to the stall power of these monsters (used to help get out our 3-card-combo), duplication allows for easy tribute fodder. (It can also be used to get out a second Card Trooper, with an ATK of 1900!)

Of course, having all 3 cards in play isn't enough. We need enough Life Points and enough cards in our hand to use The Big Saturn's effect. Poison of the Old Man heals Life Points very well (and can be used to deal that last bit of damage for opponents who refuse to stay down), and the Gadget cards can bring themselves straight to your hand, to cover that area well too.

Of course, playing The Big Saturn does have a downside. If you run into a Mirror Force or something, you pretty much die, given how high his ATK is gonna go. Spell of Pain helps us with that. This is superior to Trap of Board Eraser, Winged Wata, Pikeru's Circle of Enchantment, and Hallowed Life Barrier, because it will direct the damage back at the opponent (which often causes an OTK in and of itself. It is chosen above Barrel Behind the Door, because Spell of Pain can be activated from the hand, so you don't have to deal with the heavy s/t removal of this format.

The rest of the main deck is filled with a bunch of staples (although it does miss both Solemn Warning and Solemn Judgment because they are very expensive (Life Point-wise) and we need to conserve our Life Points for The Big Saturn), which leads me to talk about the Extra Deck.

In the event that The Big Saturn fails, the Extra Deck offers us not one, but two backup plans.

The first is to use Chimeratech Fortress Dragon to beat down the opponent with, hopefully coming upon a Limiter Removal eventually for the final blow.

The second is to use Xyz Monsters. Remember, this deck allows for easy summoning of tribute fodder, and since each method produces multiple monsters of the same Level, Xyz Summoning is easy. That's not to say the Xyz Monsters were picked randomly. Each has a purpose (usually stalling until we get another copy of The Big Saturn):

So that's the deck. If you enjoyed it, then vote for me please. Thanks in advance! --GoldenSandslash15 (talkcontribs) 03:33, August 24, 2011 (UTC)

The Tyrant Neptune

So we got Reaper on the Nightmare. SO good. But weak and not worth the time. Hey! Why dont you try Instant Fusion? WELL SIR, because you cant DO anything with a fusion monster summoned with instant fusion EXCEPT tribute it. So how do we use this good fusion monster without wasting my own time? Combo it with a monster that can kick it up a notch, and by "notch", i mean about 2000ATK points. Using 2 quick special summons, such as Cyber Dragon and an instant fusion of Reaper, you have 2 monsters on the field to use as tribute material for Neptune. Tributing these both would give Neptune and ATK power of 2900, THEN copy the ability of Reaper. So you have Neptune with 2900ATK, cant be destroyed by battle, can attack directly, and forces a card out of your opponent's hand when the attack lands. KA-BAM. Now let's say you draw some Swords, set Summoner of Illusions, stall for a turn, then flip, sacrifice something, summon Cyber End Dragon, T-T-TRIBUTE SUMMON Neptune and BAM you have Cyber End Dragon +800ATK that wont be destroyed at the end of the turn. If youre rad enough to care about this, youre rad enough to do anything. Enjoi my deck! Thedarkdoor (talkcontribs) 04:01, August 24, 2011 (UTC)thedarkdoor

Extra Deck:

Well, this is my deck. The primary purpose is to make Neptune a powerhouse. So I have 3 Neptunes, as well as Sangan and 3 Oshaleon to search him. Mother Grizzly searches Oshaleon, but also has another purpose you'll see later.

Neptune absorbs the effect of one of the monsters Tributed to summon him, so to that extent, I'm running Cat's Ear Tribe, Masked Chopper, Marshmallon and Fenrir - all of which have effects that would be incredibly beneficial to a monster with higher ATK. Of course, these effects don't mean anything without that higher ATK, so I'm also running Barbaros, Gorz and Fusilier Dragon to give Neptune an enormous ATK.

Onto Spells. Instant Fusion provides another sacrifice. Man-Eating Black Shark is just there for its ATK, but the rest all have good effects. Heavy Storm and Mystical Space Typhoon can stop my opponent from ruining my plans. Gold Sarc and Duality help me to search. Monster Reborn gets me a Tribute from the Graveyard - I might be able to make great use of an opponent's monster - and Swords of Revealing Light help my weak monsters survive to be Tributed. Lastly, I'm running Chalice. It works fantastically with Barbaros and Fusilier Dragon, but also as a tech card.

Lastly, Traps. Safe Zone is the most important one here - it can protect Neptune from no end of things. Call of the Haunted can bring out more sacrifices easily, and Threatening Roar can protect them. Lastly, Solemn Judgment is for stopping my opponent from stopping me.

I hope I've convinced you that Neptune is the strongest of the Planets. All that's left to say is, vote for me! Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 08:45, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
