Rename to "Beginner's Edition 1 2011"[edit]

If a template restriction blocks us from using a name we want, I think we need to update the template logic to allow for the naming convention, not the other way around. So, I think we should leave the page as is and alter the templates to allow for this name. Unless there's any other problem with the current name ("Beginner's Edition 1 (2011)"). -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:27, July 25, 2016 (UTC)

I understand. Though, in my opinion, the templates are fine; they trim/remove stuff like (<string>).
The {{OCG-TCG card image}} removes it and makes the linking of the galleries/lists to, for instance, Set Card Galleries:Beginner's Edition 1 (OCG-JP), instead of Set Card Galleries:Beginner's Edition 1 (2011) (OCG-JP), which will be the name of the gallery for BE1, when its rename goes through.
{{Infobox set}} removes the parenthesis and what's inside of it at the prev/next parameters; leaving the next set as "Beginner's Edition 2" instead of "Beginner's Edition 2 (2011)". However, it points to the right place (but the name displayed is not correct, though).
{{Set navigation}}, on the other hand, does work for it; which makes it break for everything else that needs to have the parenthesis, like Tournament Pack 2009 Vol.3 (Korean).
Besides, Dino's boilerplate can't get the correct name either (though I guess that's minor in the middle of all this), it could be changed, I think.
Last but not least, the name for the set is BEGINNER'S EDITION 1 【2011】 or BEGINNER'S EDITION 1 [ 2011 ], by the database BEGINNER'S EDITIONビギナーズエディション 1 [ 2011 ]. So the parenthesis () aren't even the most correct character, are they? Brackets don't work, though.
But yeah, ultimately, the templates could be changed, I guess, but wouldn't that count as hard coding them to avoid this specifically? There are other sets using parenthesis (example); should those templates also behave in a different way for those sets?
