Somewhat resemblance to Yami Marik[edit]

If you look at Yubel's face and hair she (assuming its a girl) looks somewhat like Yami Marik except without all of his veins being shown. --Dark Yugi 17:11, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

In the original, half of Yubel is female. Fractyl2 17:35, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
It also said that her hair resembles Yami Bakura as well. --Little Shroomish 17:33, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Future episodes[edit]

Yubel still exists, but it will reappear in a shocker. Fractyl2 17:35, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Since Yubel was free from the light of destruction, and had her soul fused with Jaden. what was her personality like?

--Little Shroomish 18:19, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

??[edit]

This just a question from a wikipia fan. Could somebody please tell me, HOW THE HELL was the information on how Yubel's English voice gained, name of voice actress, how it was changed to avoid confusion. I ask this because, that information was on the articles, BEFORE YUBEL EVEN MADE AN APPEARED IN THE ENGLISHED DUB. Also, what's with different back story? I'm guessing that's what it's supposed to be in English dub, but why remove that part that explains why Yubel was sent into space in the Japanese version? I like it if somebody would clear this up for me. But still, I'm just a wikipia fan, not a user, so I won't be surprised if my questions aren't answered.

  • Easy, Yubel appeared in voice until it made its actual appearence. Fractyl2 21:38, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Just one question...what episode?

--Little Shroomish 17:39, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Deck Questions[edit]

Another question (I'm the same guy who asked about how Yubel's voice in the English Dub). WHO THE HELL KEEPS ON DELETING INFORMATION ON THE DECKS THAT YUBEL USES, AND WHY? I supposed that might be because up until Yubel's last duel with Jaden, the decks it used could be listed as decks used by the characters it possessed. However, since it was dueling with possessing anybody in its last duel with Jaden, I feel that at-least the deck it used there should be listed. Part of why I'm asking this is because I was the one who keep on putting that deck info back into the article

  • Me. Stop putting other people's decks into its article. Marcel's deck goes on Marcel's page. Adrian's deck goes on Adrian's page. Jesse's deck goes on Jesse's page. -- Huajun Chen 22:59, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Well technically Yubel was the one using the Sacred Beast deck and not Marcel because Marcel was being possessed by Yubel. Also, Jesse technically didn't use the Advanced Crystal Beast deck because HIS SOUL WAS IN HIS BODY AT THE TIME! Same goes with that second (it might have been changed, aside the Sacred Beasts and Armtiel and the card used to summon Armtiel none of the cards it used against Jaden and Jesse were in it) Sacred Beast deck.

  • With that logic, why don't we just create a seperate page for the Light of Destruction and move all of Sartorius' cards to that page? Same thing with Dartz and the Orichalcos, huh? Let's move Strings' and Bandit Keith's deck to Marik's page seeing as they were both being controlled by Marik. Actually, while we're at it, let's move White!Alexis' cards to Sartorius page seeing as she was being controlled by him, thus fucking up the entire system! We. Are. Not. Changing. It. -- Huajun Chen 12:28, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

No need to be so rude asshole. I was just asking a question. And besides, Alexis wasn't be controlled the same way that Marcel and Jesse were.

  • Likewise. Now I'm just banning you because I'm pissed. You can wait until one of the other mods un-ban you. -- Huajun Chen 12:53, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Another question. I noticed there's info one some Yubel's cards before they even appeared in the Japanese version. How did any of you get info on the cards before they even appeared?

Yubel does leave Marcel's body to duel itself near the end of Marcel\Yubel's duel with Jaden and Jesse, so there is legitimate reason to include the cards used in that duel on the Yubel page.--DarkMastero 17:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

English dub[edit]

What's Yubel English name? Also, is it still hermaphroditic?

  • I guess the name is the same, yes it still hermaphroditic. --Dragon Slayer 18:57, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
  • It actually looks like its just female in the English dub, since it only has only voice. Not sure about the name. --User:Omegalink
  • Actually, its name was translated as Jubel, which is German for "Happy". --Deus Ex Machina 23:01, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
    • Very Ironic. Dmaster 18:39, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Yubel is actually one of the few characters that keeps it's original name the English Dub.--User:Omegalink

Gender[edit]

  • Until we know what "gender" it is in both the Japanese version and the English Version (I'm sure this has been done) should just consider Yubel as an IT? Dmaster (Contribs Count) 22:57, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Well, in my opinion, we know that past life Yubel was a boy. In the Japanese version. HE uses "boku", and while there are a small amount of girls who use "boku" it is UNHEARD of for them to refer to themselves as such around the boys they like. Just no. Not to mention that the other characters refer to Yubel exclusively as "he". I'm sorry, I just won't take any other argument.

But there is more. On Yubel's current, hermaphroditic body, there is a breast on one side and no breast on the other. The side without the breast, probably the male side, is the one that has the original hair and eye colors of Yubel- indigo and green. I'm sorry, I'm absolutely sure it was male for the past life.

    • Given the fact that what genitalia exists on a body (purely reproductive organs, not breasts) determine the gender of a being, and the fact that there are no discernible genitals on Yubel (It's entire torso being flesh and not clothing), Yubel is not hermaphroditic or a gender. Hermaphroditic means having a set of both reproductive organs, testes and ovaries, and being technically able to self reproduce.

Now, the current life is either androgynous (no gender) or hermaphrodite (both), so either he or she would really be correct. "it" would imply that Yubel is not a living thing. Yalens

  • Are you sure that Yubel was a boy before the transformation, I think if you look closely you can see some female Characteristics, but your opinion's good too. her hairstyle kinda resembles the style of either Alexis or Atticus. I mean think of the English dub, but is the Japanese dub more correct?

Little Shroomish 17:51, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm pretty sure Yubel was a dude in it's previous life. Even the English dub gave Yubel a guy voice back in the flashback episode. The thing that troubles me is that "he" had a thing going on with the Supreme King... which makes things pretty crazy. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. However I think Yubel decided to stay a female after fusing with Jaden.
  • I thought so, but in my opinion it doesn't matter what gender Yubel is in General.

Automated transfer of Problem Report #12196[edit]

The following message was left by Anonymous via PR #12196 on 2008-07-24 02:41:41 UTC

Yubel does not use an exodia deck against Adrien, she used the sacred beasts. Adrien uses the exodea deck.

Yubel Cursing?!?![edit]

I think i herd Yubel say the F-word during the duel with Jaden. —This unsigned comment was made by F.G.D owner (talkcontribs) 02:03, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

It was either fight or fought, that she really said. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:07, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
  • You're not the only one. It's all over YouTube! I almost cr@pped myself after reviewing the episode! XD Master 01:17, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Little Shroomish 18:06, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Do you guys have like a sound clip of Yubel saying that?

--Little Shroomish 17:47, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

  • I don't see how people think Yubel said "fight" or "fought" because when you put the sentence together, it doesn't make sense. Example? "But instead, you 'fought' with the hope of sending me away again." Am I crazy or does that not sound right? Same with "...'fight' with the hope..." True, I don't know why 4kids would release the episode with that word in it, & maybe it really is a different word, but apparently we don't know the real truth yet.

StardustAmmy 20:13, 09 April 2010. (UTC)

    • You are crazy because "...fought with the hope of sending me away again." means that he used the hope of sending Yubel away as encouragement to keep fighting. 10:56, 16 July 2010.

omg yubel sais f*** she or he is a player she is the cartoon Lady GaGa 13:33 07 July 2010

Yubel[edit]

When Yubel dueld jaden in the end when she/he used Super polymerization what was she/he going to summon becuse its like she/he fused her entire deck so i was wandering what ultimate creature was she/he going to summon.

It was some kind of Creaure called "Super Fusion God" -- Little Shroomish 17:46, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Websites[edit]

  • This my sound kinda weird but has there been any websites dedicated to Yubel? I'm just curious. --Little Shroomish 17:46, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Neo Space?[edit]

Was it stated in the dub or something that Jaden and Yubel lived in Neo Space? Was it ALSO stated that this was Jaden's ancestor and not his previous incarnation? Because I don't remember these things being confirmed, and as a result am massively confused. 24.128.204.16 (talk) 07:06, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Neo Space as my mistake, I added that in a while back, but had apparently remembered it wrong. And no, it wasn't stated in the dub or the original, I just thought it was for some reason. "Ancestor" isn't accurate either. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:25, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

well what about predeccesor like these preceeded by succeded by stuffSartorias (talkcontribs) 15:36, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Decks (Marcel)[edit]

I'm not sure whether cards "The Rock Spirit" (x2), "Polymerization" and "House of Sand" belong to Sacred Beasts Deck. The first two mentioned cards were shown before Yubel revealed any of her Decks, and those cards surely don't belong to SB Deck because they were shown before she obtained SB. As for "House of Sand" card, it probably belongs to mentioned Deck, but then a note is needed to be put which says that she used it to create a real play field and didn't use it in a duel. I think these cards could be listed under a new section named "Misc". --178.223.169.149 (talk) 20:16, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, you're probably right. I'd go ahead and change it. In the future, if you spot something like this, just change it and put your reasoning in the edit summary. If someone disagrees, a discussion could be started. :) Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:41, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

Gender[edit]

I know this has been discussed before, though I wasn't present for the discussion and do not see it on this page. So I'm going to go ahead and re-open the can of worms. Yubel was a hermaphrodite in the Japanese version. She had two voices. One could argue that the "male" voice was actually The Light of Destruction. But that doesn't hold water for me. The Light did not possess her, it simply intensified the negative emotions she already had (or in simpler terms made her more batshit crazy than she already was). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:46, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

She is obviously a hermaphrodite, but tends to use its female voice. --Aged Goblin (talkcontribs) 10:49, July 25, 2011 (UTC)

Abilities[edit]

I think she can also sense Jaden's presence and get a vision of him, as seen during the Survival Duels arc. --109.93.129.11 (talk) 20:03, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

Where do you see that happening? --FredCat 20:08, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

References to other characters[edit]

I find it extremely annoying that every other part of Yubel is compared to a character prior in the series. Unless there is a glaring obvious throwback (which isnt in her case; simply a shade of green for her heterochromia or unruly hair) it really shouldn't be described as such. it was fairly obvious Yubels Monster forms were her original form slowly getting twisted in a dragonic appearance, nothing to do with Dark Malik, Bakura,etc.--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 19:45, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

Samsara Burn[edit]

Was the name of this Deck confirmed in the anime? --Aged Goblin (talkcontribs) 21:13, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

I have absolutely no idea where that name came from. It was here before I ever started editing. I assume it was in the Japanese version, though I personally don't recall it being mentioned. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:28, August 4, 2011 (UTC)
I doubt this name has been ever mentioned. I've watched lately subbed episodes when she Dueled Jaden, and she didn't referred to the Deck by a particular name. It seems "Samsara" comes from "Samsara Lotus", which is an English name. Deck was originally named as "Demon Flower Deck", before a guy changed it to "Samsara Burn". I suggest renaming the Deck to "Fiend/Plant Deck". --The Goblin (talkcontribs) 00:40, August 4, 2011 (UTC)
I dunno, how about something like "Yubel Deck"? i mean the main focus seemed to be using her own series of cards to tortue Judai; until he rejected her and she went pyscho and tried to pull out Super Fusion God.--RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 23:35, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
