Welcome[edit]

Hi and welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki! Thank you for your edit to the Card Trivia:Vampire Killer page.

If you need help, you can consult these pages:

If you would like to make a suggestion or ask for assistance, feel free start a topic at the forums or contact an administrator.

Trivia[edit]

Trivia pages aren't really for pointing out things as general as being a zombie based on an animal. Not being released in the TCG is also something that we don't add to trivia pages, usually. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:37, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

No problem, you didn't come off as a troll. "Vampire Koala" actually isn't a "Vampire" due to its Japanese name not containing ヴァンパイア. Archetypes are defined by Japanese name, rather than English names. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 20:36, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

Card Rulings[edit]

There is no way. Sometimes cards have no rulings since their effects are deemed self-explanatory. In any case, like I stated in my deletion summary, we only allow official rulings issued by Konami. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 13:00, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

It seems you did it again. To clarify, we don't allow rulings that don't come directly from Konami. The ruling you put in for "Des Wombat" does not come from Konami, and is the equivalent of someone inserting the ruling, "'Fox Fire' can't be Special Summoned while 'Vanity's Ruler' is face-up on the field." The statement is true, but it is not an official ruling by Konami. Can you imagine how many "rulings" we would have if "unofficial rulings" were inserted like this?
So in other words, I know you weren't trying to vandalize, but don't put unofficial rulings in. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:15, September 28, 2013 (UTC)
They go to the Japanese version of http://www.db.yugioh-card.com/yugiohdb/ , where the Japanese rulings are posted. And there you go; that is the vast majority of "modern" rulings we receive today. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 12:54, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Card Trivia Validity[edit]

No, trivia does not have to be officially supported by Konami. However, your trivia for "Dark Simorg" is kind of meh, since there are 5 other monsters that have multiple Attributes, and that list is likely to grow larger in the future. Also, "Dark Simorgh" was not the 1st monster to have multiple Attributes.
P.S. Whenever you leave a message on my talk page, please create a header/topic like ==Card Trivia Question== (the 2 equals signs on each side make the title big and underlined), then place your message underneath. When you added it under my "Images" topic, it made me confused, as the question you were asking had nothing to do with images. However, you don't need to add a new header/topic for every question you ask me; only do it when you start a new area of questioning. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:43, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

(And yeah, I already added the topic name for you on my Talk Page.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:44, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror[edit]

Nah, don't worry, you did good. You got how "Mirror" worked and correctly changed the Tips page to reflect that. Thanks for changing it! ^^ --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:36, October 10, 2013 (UTC)

Wiki code[edit]

You simply use these brackets together: [[]], and insert the article title rather than c/p'ing the article's link into single brackets. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 15:48, October 16, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Guardian Eatos[edit]

Actually, the name is correct. This is because that was the card's name in Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler. Other anime cards appeared in that game too, such as "Orichalcos Kyutora" and an Armor monster. ...the funny thing is that we don't have a videogame picture of the card, but I'm sure it's correct, seeing as on the "Guardian Eatos" page, you can see its videogame lore give wonky names such as "Guardian Deathsize instead of "Guardian Deathscythe". (Those aren't mistakes, but they are mistaken translations by whoever put them in the videogame.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:56, October 27, 2013 (UTC)

You have to be a certified judge to gain access I believe. I am not, and neither are you, so neither of us can gain access. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:28, October 27, 2013 (UTC)

Underworld Dragon Dragonecro[edit]

It's a Dragon-Type. See here: http://ygorganization.com/ocg-premium-pack-16-first-news --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:23, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

Vision HERO Trinity (and Vampire Killer)[edit]

"HERO" monsters only include monsters that have "HERO" in their names in all caps. "Oscillo Hero" and "Hero Kid" do not, so they can't be used as Fusion Materials. The Card Trivia for "Vampire Killer" wasn't deleted, but rather moved to Card Trivia:Vampire Hunter. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:36, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

I liked you too XD[edit]

Heyy! Thanks for the contact! ^^

Yes, we can! I dont use DN, I use YgoPro, so we can set a date to duel each other :D At this time, my internet connection is awful, so the connection of the game may be lost x.x Im managing to fix this... Is there a way of sending particular messages in here? You can send me your facebook profile or something :B

Cheers! :D

Trivia[edit]

We don't post relations to other cards just because their effects are slightly similar. In this case, all they do is lower the ATKs of monsters to 0. They are obviously not meant to be related to each other, and it is of no significance, since a lot of cards work based on the same mechanics, anyway. Screeching, Undiluted Horror (talkcontribs) 15:44, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

That part seemed presumptuous, so I removed it. Screeching, Undiluted Horror (talkcontribs) 15:49, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

Well, whatever. You can add it back if you phrase it properly, since it kind of gives the opponent a present. Screeching, Undiluted Horror (talkcontribs) 15:54, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

Repeating the first message this user said to you. Cut it out. I don't want to have to delete pages because of this. An example is "Power Annihilator", which you said is similar to "Skyscraper". True, but that's too minor a similarity. Only post stuff like that for cards that were actually meant to be similar to each other. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:02, January 3, 2014 (UTC)

Just take the time to think if the cards were actually intended to be similar to each other. Examples are "Mystical Wind Typhoon", as well as "Twister", have similar effects to "Mystical Space Typhoon". Not only that, but they have weather-based artworks (and one's name sounds similar to MST). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:06, January 4, 2014 (UTC)
I'm moving your comment on my Talk Page under the "Card Trivia" section. In the future, please make a new title when you send my messages of a different topic, by putting in the following: ==(Message Title Here)==, then place your message underneath. To answer your question, yes, those ghosts are reminiscent of Perona's "hollow ghosts", but there's no other compelling evidence. I'm also pretty sure the way the ghosts are shown are not unique to One Piece. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:19, January 6, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Card Trivia Questions[edit]

Well, now that I think about it, I guess the part about the ghosts looking like the ghosts of Perona's Hollow-Hollow Fruit is somewhat more valid, since they made the victims feel really depressed (and the card reduces the ATK of monsters to 0). But no @the make-up trivia. Now, regarding "Humpty Dandy", it is true it looks like "Ojama King", but there is nothing else supporting this is intentional. HOWEVER, this seems very likely to be related to the "Ghostrick" archetype, since all Level 3 "Ghostrick" monsters are DARK Zombie-Type. It also helps that the monster can flip itself face-down once per turn. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:14, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

Uploading Card Images[edit]

Upload them as .pngs, otherwise your .jpg files will be deleted. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 13:19, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

Just open them in Paint and save them as .png --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 13:24, February 12, 2014 (UTC)

Chat[edit]

Have you seen that on another wiki? Otherwise you'll probably have to ask Wikia staff to add such a feature. You can do that through Special:Contact/general. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 20:03, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

Morphing Jar[edit]

It shares several characteristics with a number of other monsters, so we made a "Jar" series page a while back that keeps track of them all. Because that page exists, we don't need to note the similarities on the cards' individual trivia pages. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 01:44, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Attack Names and card trivia[edit]

We've avoided doing it, since we have a page dedicated to that as well. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:22, March 9, 2014 (UTC)

Good that you asked, before proceeding further. Please remove it from trivia pages if you come across it. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:27, March 9, 2014 (UTC)

Power Wall[edit]

Tips pages are also used for cards available in games, like "Power Wall". --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 11:49, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

It appears in the various Tag Force games. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 13:07, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

Zombie counterparts[edit]

I'm pretty sure the similarities between those monsters is coincidental, so we don't need to list them as counterparts. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 13:41, March 14, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Despair Uranus[edit]

No, do not change it. That speculation and for all we know, it may have an entirely different Attribute or monster Type than ygopro suggest. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 04:42, March 22, 2014 (UTC)

RE: The Eye Of Timaeus[edit]

First, we have no information of "The Eye of Timaeus" monster Type, also that speculation. Second, it will appears in Dragons of Legend (April 24, 2014 TCG) and Collector's Pack: Duelist of Legend Version (May 17, 2014 OCG). WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 04:50, March 22, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Divine Spirit of The ice barrier an zombie counterpart?[edit]

Well, I don't have a clear definition of the Zombie counterpart, but going by the first line of the paragraph, "Zombie counterparts are a series of Zombie monsters identified by having an existing non-Zombie-Type counterpart". The word Zombie can be questionable, as most don't have the Japanese word Undead (アンデット) or Zombie (ゾンビ). Most of the Zombie counterparts are based on appearance like "Doomkaiser Dragon", "Malevolent Mech - Goku En", "Paladin of the Cursed Dragon" and "Revived King Ha Des", also they all have the Zombie-Type. I guess "Sacred Spirit of the Ice Barrier" can fit in with the Zombie counterpart based on his appearance and having the Zombie-Type rather on name alone. The hard part about this, he is also a Spirit monster and he may have a appearance on Spirit rather a Zombie. Anyway I will take the blame for placed it in the Zombie counterpart section. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 18:35, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Nowa bout the DARK counterparts[edit]

Hmm, well about Dark counterpart, going by the first line of the paragraph again, "The Dark counterparts are a series of DARK monsters that is identified by an existing non-DARK counterpart and 「ダーク」 in their Japanese name". The Japanese word Dark (ダーク) are not found in the name of "Darklord Zerato" and "Knight of Dark Dragon", but they have the same ATK, DEF, Level and appearance of their counterpart. Since the "Evilswarm" monster doesn't have Dark in their Japanese name nor share the same ATK, DEF and Level of their counterpart, I would no to being apart of the Dark counterpart. They may have the appearance, but the idea of "Evilswarm" monsters were based on infected or virus version of other monsters that appear in Duel Terminal. Also, there is a discussion about this topic before, it can be found on the talk page right here if you want to read about it. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 23:11, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Monster Register[edit]

Sorry for a late response, I been busy. No, that image won't work, as we prefer card image not monster image. It doesn't matter if the card image is in half, poor quality or placed in a non-fixed position. Card image over monster image. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 15:12, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Monster Register thanks and Wightmare[edit]

For "Wightmare", honestly I don't have a clue if the big shadow is a existing monster. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 23:08, April 18, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Proof of Powerlessness[edit]

I would said that both monsters have a similar appearance, but "Tyranno Infinity" have horns and two little arms while the one in "Proof of Powerlessness" have wings and four feet. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 20:06, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Card trivia: Red Ghost Moon[edit]

SALUTATIONS, UNDEADLORD!!

I'm sorry to say but you incured the wrath of one of my Wikia pet peeves here, which is when users put any trivia here that only compares card effects (in my earlier "fashion police" times, I dubbed such "EFFECT-BASED RELATIONS ONLY!!") On the contrary, even earlier than that though, I've been guilty of adding such trivia to some card pages too. However, I took note of admins cleaning up similar trivia (including some of my own) on pages and I quickly realized that such Trivia that only compares effects or other general card specs is nonsensical due to to ever-ballooning pool of YGO cards, of which similar stats and effects that run parallels to other cards are inevitable (i.e. Since why the heck have there been SO many effect-negating and Toolbox effects in the ZEXAL era?)

I was not upset @ you per se--while I'm aware that you're relatively new here (though I'm unsure when you started playing YGO,) due to this realization of the ever-expanding card database, we can't afford to have Trivia like this because it simply doesn't do a good job of tying a relationship between two or more cards (like the 'ole quasi-sarcastic question, "AANNDD?") If you (or anyone her for that matter) could make a case for similar specs and/or effects, there just needs to be another relationship between the cards--that way, any such trivia could sound much more probable and valid.

I'll give you a few examples of effect-based trivia that sounds more credible:

RE: The Laval cards and Tekken Toppa Gurren Lagann[edit]

SALUTATIONS ONCE AGAIN, UNDEADLORD!! =J

BIG apologies for the delayed response--apparently my "You have new messages" text alert has NOT been goin' off lately! :T

Unfortunately, while I am unfamiliar with the Gurren Lagan mecha anime series, I did just tersely scrutinize the series synopsis on Wikipedia as well as peer @ Tekken Toppa (or at least her artwork) on the Gurren Lagann and I think that you do have a pretty striking Trivia case for both the "Laval" monsters that you are inquiring about, specifically based on the "underground" premise. I am not as "well-versed" with a lot of anime series compared to perhaps 7 out of the 10 users on this Wikia.

Btw, regarding the effect-based relations thing from earlier, you're welcome and I also apologize if I may have "vented" too much from that recent talk. I exploited a very common sense method that led me to a GINORMOUS weed-out of trivia that were only effect-based relations--based on trends in such Trivia I typed in "Card Trivia: This card's effect is similar to" or something CLOSE along those lines and voila--(most of) the search results were Card Trivias with those exact words (duh, ArcadiasScholarly, DUH!!) I was quite surprised as to how many Trivias reeked of this fluff (a couple DOZEN!) If you're not doing any much else on one of yer Wikia sessions, you can do this too if you'd like and drop out those effect-based relations! =j --I IS AN ESTABLISHER OF (RE)MARKS OF EXCELLENCE!! (talkcontribs) 21:27, May 8, 2014 (UTC)

Don't mention it! =j As far as the Tekken Toppa/Gurren Lagann comparison, I simply tried to sound as unbiased as possible in saying that you may have a good case with that as Trivia. However, if you really value good feedback here (which I'll admit that I do too when I have done good stuff here,) then that's fine, albeit my opinion on this hasn't changed--I DO think its a great Trivia for the two "Lavals"! =) Btw, with the effect-based trivia, you're NOT compelled to assist me in my "quest"--it was just a suggestion if you don't really have "do much" here or have undertook other Wikia objectives!.. --I IS AN ESTABLISHER OF (RE)MARKS OF EXCELLENCE!! (talkcontribs) 11:47, May 15, 2014 (UTC)

Damage Diet[edit]

Well, if that sort of trivia was accepted, then that's a floodgate for trivia saying "Card X looks somewhat similar to character X from X anime", etc. We focus on putting trivia that seems *purposely* based on character X. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 13:00, June 3, 2014 (UTC)

Images[edit]

Thanks you for your uploads, but you've been here a while now. Please put effort into following the image policy. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 22:04, April 22, 2015 (UTC)

Users with the ability to move pages have an ability where they check a button while moving a file, and all pages that used the old file name have the link automatically updated. When that option is used, the edit summary "Updating file links (automatic)" is automatically placed. Anyway, thank you for regarding my message. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 22:31, April 22, 2015 (UTC)

Invasion of Chaos[edit]

Thanks for the comment, though you linked me to a different set. The information on that wiki about the set I was asking about was poorly made though, and I still am unsure if the set every existed in that language, as there were no images. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 15:47, March 21, 2016 (UTC)

GX manga cards[edit]

That looks to be a fan translation. For the cards that appeared in that chapter, see here.--Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:12, April 15, 2016 (UTC)

"Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon"[edit]

"Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon" will show up on all relevant lists soon. It just takes time for new pages to be recognized sometimes.--Golden Key (talkcontribs) 11:16, April 16, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Crawler[edit]

You mean the card "Acid Crawler"? If you check the top of the article, you will see a notice box that stated it is not a member of "Crawler" archetype. The reason behind that because "Acid Crawler" name is アシッドクロラー while a monster must have クロラー" to be classified as a member of "Crawler" archetype (Note the difference between the bolded katakana of the two names).

The reason I made this edit is to make clear distinction between the two Japanese names. The previous phonetic was an incorrect name due to inaccuracy issue from romanization using Wāpuro rōmaji style. --Blackwings0605 (talk) 16:19, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

Zemia[edit]

In Card Trivia:Lord of Zemia, you've said "Back then in Greece, Zemia was a punishing sacrifice for those who failed on the gods, in a form of compensation.", but since no other context is given, it's unclear what time period "back then" is referring to. I've tried looking it up, but haven't found any evidence of this meaning of the word. The closest I can find is ζημία (zēmía), the Greek word for "harm". -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:46, October 17, 2017 (UTC)
