Images .pngs and .jpgs

Well, you can always re-save the image you want to upload into a .png (just use "Google" to find out). The more roundabout way would be to simply upload a picture with the same title as the .png picture you want to replace (except with .jpg at the end), and then place the {{Delete}} template on the page of the .png image. I really don't want to use the first method, I upload pictures as they are. But I don't seems have the authority to delete an image, I only have the "history" and "replace" options. --Ultimo Hana (talk • contribs) 03:07, April 9, 2013 (UTC)

Well okay, it's just a matter of personal preference. However, as I said before, after you upload your image using the 2nd method as I described above, just go to the File page that has the .png image, press "Edit", then type in {{Delete|reason=Lower quality than the same .jpg image}}, or something like that. An admin will eventually see your edit and delete the page accordingly. Also, before you add the "Delete" template to that page, it would also help if you replaced the .png image on all the pages it's being used with the new, better-quality .jpg image you uploaded.

JPG vs PNG

Overlink

Past/present tense
