"The Man Who Rides The Waves" (なみおとこ Nami ni Noru Otoko) is the eighth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS Luke! Explosive Supremacy Legend!! manga. It was first published April 21, 2021, in the V Jump magazine.

Summary[edit]

Luke Rush Duels a man of the sea over their incompatibility in food tastes.

The Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: Luke
Luke Normal Summon "The Fire Dragon" (1500/0), "Draco the Tiny" (0/1400) and "Dragon Bat" (1000/400). Luke Tributes "Draco the Tiny" and "Dragon Bat" to Tribute Summon "Multistrike Dragon Dragias" (2500/1500). Luke Sets a card in his Spell & Trap Zone.

Turn 2: Nanami
Nanami draws "Umi". Nanami activates the Field Spell Card "Umi" to increase the ATK and DEF of face-up Fish, Sea Serpent, Thunder and Aqua Type monsters on the field by 200 and decrease the ATK and DEF of face-up Machine and Pyro Type monsters on the field by 200 while it is face-up in the Field Zone. Nanami Normal Summons two copies of "Jet Barracuda" (800/1000 → 1000/1200). Nanami Tributes both copies of "Jet Barracuda" to Tribute Summon two copies of "Naval Warfare Don Orcawally" (800/??? → 1000/???). Nanami activates the effect of the first "Orcawally", shuffling two Fish Type monsters from his Graveyard into the Deck to send the top two cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, then if he sent two Fish Type monsters to the Graveyard this way, he draws two cards. Nanami shuffles two copies of "Jet Barracuda" from his Graveyard into the Deck and sends two copies of "Heat Dartfish" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then draws two unknown cards. Nanami activates the effect of the second "Orcawally". Nanami shuffles two copies of "Heat Dartfish" from his Graveyard into the Deck and sends two copies of "Ojisan" from the top of his Deck to the Graveayard, then draws two unknown cards. Nanami activates the Spell Card "Grand Extreme" to Special Summon a Fish Type monster from his hand face-up to his field. then he can shuffle up to five monsters from Luke's Graveyard into his Deck. Nanami Special Summons "Hydro Cannon Big Bluefin" (2200/2100 → 2400/2300) from his hand in Attack Position, then shuffles "Dragon Bat" and "Draco the Tiny" from Luke's Graveyard into his Deck. Nanami activates the effect of "Big Bluefin", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to allow up to two face-up Fish Type monsters on his field with 1000 or less ATK to attack directly this turn. Nanami sends "Big Bluefin" from his hand to the Graveyard and chooses both copies of "Orcawally". Nanami Sets a card in his Spell & Trap Zone. Both copies of "Orcawally" attack Luke directly (Luke: 4000 → 3000 → 2000 LP). "Big Bluefin" attacks and destroys "The Fire Dragon" (Luke: 2000 → 1100 LP).

Turn 3: Luke
Luke Normal Summons "Dragon's Sage" (1100/100) and "Dragorite" (1500/0). As Luke Normal Summoned a monster, Nanami activates his face-down Trap Card "Big Hit!", returning two face-up Fish Type monsters from his field to the owner's hand to Special Summon a "Big Bluefin" from his Graveyard face-up to his field, then he increases the ATK and DEF of all face-up "Big Bluefin" on his field by 1500 until the end of this turn. Nanami returns both copies of "Orcawally" from his field to his hand and Special Summons a second "Big Bluefin" (2200/2100 → 2400/2300) from his Graveyard in Defense Position ("Big Bluefin" x2: 2400/2300 → 3900/3800). Luke Tributes "Dragon's Sage" and "Dragorite" to Tribute Summon "Shock Dragon" (1600/2500). Luke activates the effect of "Shock Dragon", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to decrease the ATK of all face-up monsters with the highest ATK on Nanami's field by the ATK of the face-up monster with the highest ATK on Luke's field until the end of this turn, but it can only attack Attack Position monsters this turn. Luke sends an unknown card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard ("Big Bluefin" x2: 3900/3800 → 1400/3800). Luke activates the effect of "Dragias", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to this turn allow it to make a second attack during the Battle Phase a monster was destroyed by battle.[Notes 1] Luke sends an unknown card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard. Luke activates his face-down Spell Card "Dragonic Catapult", sending a Dragon Type monster from his hand to the Graveyard to allow a face-up Dragon Type monster on his field to attack directly this turn. Luke sends an unknown monster from his hand to the Graveyard and chooses "Dragias". "Shock Dragon" attacks and destroys the first "Big Bluefin" (Nanami: 4000 → 3800 LP). "Dragias" attacks Nanami directly twice (Nanami: 3800 → 1300 → 0 LP).
