The Yu-Gi-Oh! Collection (遊戯王コレクション) is a set of toy figures and collectible cards that was released by Bandai from 1998 to 1999, featuring various monsters and characters that appeared in the Toei Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.[1]

Boxes[edit]

Bandai released at least three boxes based on the Toei anime.

One of the boxes was released in 1998 and has figures from a pool of 7 character figures and 9 monster figures, as well as a mini card from a pool of 10 different cards. The figures came in blue, yellow, gold, gray, and various translucent colors. The backs of the mini cards form a complete image when all ten are united. The mini-cards use a blue frame around the card title and have a number in the lower left corner.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Collection (Part 2) (遊戯王コレクション(パート2)) was a box released in 1999, retailing for ¥100 per box. Each box contained 1 or 2 figures from a pool of 10 different figures, and 1 mini card from a pool of 10 different cards.[2] The mini cards use a red frame around the card title and are numbered on their backs.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Collection (Part 3) (遊戯王コレクション(パート3)) was a box released in 1999, retailing for ¥100 per box. Each box contained 1 or 2 figures from a pool of 09 different figures, and 1 mini card from a pool of 10 different cards.[3] The mini cards use a green frame around the card title and are numbered on their backs.

Later collections were released in 2001 and beyond, with these collections based on the NAS Yu-Gi-Oh! anime instead.
