The Rikka Fairies Descend is a Solo Mode Gate in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and focuses on the Rikka archetype.

Like most Gates in Solo Mode, each Duel can be played with either the player's own Deck or a provided Loaner Deck fitting the theme of the Gate, with separate rewards for each. Completing this gate for the first time unlocks the "Blooming in Adversity" Secret Pack for 24 hours.

Chapter 3: Duel 1

Many "Rikka" cards have powerful effects, but they often require to Tribute a Plant-Type monster on your field. Pay attention to the number of Plant-Type monsters on your field. Your opponent's Deck has many monsters that trigger their effects when they are destroyed in battle. However, you can use the Monster Effect of "Teardrop the Rikka Queen" to Tribute them and block these effects.

Loaner Deck

A Deck that combines usage of "Rikka" monsters and Plant-Type monsters that complement each other. Utilize the effect of "Lonefire Blossom" to deploy your attack. "Snowdrop the Rikka Fairy" can Tribute a Plant-Type monster on your field and Special Summon itself and one other Plant-Type monster from your hand. You can also aim for further combos by Tributing a monster that can also trigger its effect from the Graveyard.

The maximum number of Plant Counters placed on a single "Seed Cannon" is five. With five Plant Counters placed, their damage could sum up to 2500. To use this effect as fast as possible, try utilizing "Lord Poison" and "Rikka" monsters to gain Plant Counters. Special Summoning Plant-Type monsters on the opponent's field with "Wall of Ivy" is also an effective strategy.

Loaner Deck

The "Sunavalon" monster mainly uses the Plant-Type monsters as its Link Material to Link Summon. This monster has an effect that instantly recovers damage taken from battle or effects, and deploys "Sunvine" monsters from the Extra Deck. At times, they can be used to attack opponent's powerful monsters to purposefully take damage. Use this feature to your advantage and deploy other Plant-Type monsters on the field to boost "Rikka" monsters.

Play it together with "Rose Dragon" monsters to Synchro Summon high-Level Synchro monsters like "Ruddy Rose Dragon." The "Rose Token," which is Special Summoned with the effect of "Black Garden," can also be used as a Plant-Type monster to be Tributed to activate the effect of the "Rikka" card.

Your opponent will use a combination of "Rikka" and "Sylvan" to rapidly expand their assault. Try using the "Traptrix" monsters and their effects to prepare the Trap Card "Teardrop the Rikka Queen" to counter their assault. There is always a weak spot even amidst the rapid sequence of effects that the opponent invokes. Keep your cool and try to determine the timing when the opponent is aiming to Special Summon a high-Level monster or Special Summon a monster from the Extra Deck, and counter it by activating your effect.

Loaner Deck

A mixed Deck using "Traptrix," which specialize in luring your opponent into your traps. Use effects that can be activated when "Traptrix Myrmeleo" is successfully summoned to collect necessary Trap Cards to your hand. "Traptrix Myrmeleo" is an Insect-Type monster itself, but you can use it to deploy Plant-Type monster on the field if you use it as material to Link Summon "Traptrix Sera." Combine the deployment of "Rikka" monsters and the trap tactics of "Traptrix" to lead your opponent into their demise.

High-Rank Xyz Monsters that may appear challenging to Special Summon can be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck using the effect of "Rikka Queen Strenna." Try to use this method whenever possible.
