Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V Tag Force Special (遊（ゆう）☆戯（ぎ）☆王（おう） ＡＲＣ－Ｖ（アーク・ファイブ） ＴＡＧ ＦＯＲＣＥ（タッグフォース） ＳＰＥＣＩＡＬ（スペシャル）, Yūgiō Āku Faibu Tagu Fōsu Supesharu) is the seventh installment of the Tag Force video game series. It was released on January 22nd, 2015 for the PlayStation Portable in Japan. No international release has been announced.

System

Things you can continue from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 6:

• Player's Name: You can continue using your character's name from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 6.
• User Recipe: You can move your Deck Recipes from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 6 to Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V Tag Force Special.
• DP Bonus: DP from your Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 6 data can be transferred to Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V Tag Force Special.
• Cards: Cards you collected in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 6 can be transferred to Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V Tag Force Special! (but the number of copies becomes 1)

Cards

• This game includes over 7000 cards. In addition, the cards in the game go up to Booster SP: Tribe Force, Structure Deck: Synchron Extreme, and Secrets of Eternity. Unlike the other games from the Tag Force series, in which cards were sold in packs exclusive to the game, the cards are sold in the same packs and ratios they were released in the OCG.

• Some cards can only be obtained in the game by using a password:
  • Password from Weekly Shōnen Jump 2015, Issue 3: "Hi-Speedroid Kendama"
  • Password from V Jump February 2015: "Ultimaya Tzolkin"
  • Password from Jump Festa 2015: "Holactie the Creator of Light"
  • Password from Tag Force Special Strategy Guide: "Harpie Harpist", "Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon" and "Masked HERO Anki".

Trivia

• For players outside Japan who wish to get the official, untranslated copy of this game, they only need to follow these instructions.
• A lot of the Tag Force exclusive characters are depicted in different outfits from different eras, such as Kami and Wisteria donning the Obelisk Blue uniform from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and Bright wearing the original Domino City High School female uniform from the original series.
• Similarly, original characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival all reapppear as Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V characters, with the students switching from the Heartland Academy's uniform to Paradise Prep School's one.
• Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V Tag Force Special is the only game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force series to not have 3D animations of the characters or monsters. It is also the first Tag Force game to not have voices for every character. Only the characters with available storylines had voices in this game.
  • Shunsuke Kazama, who voiced Yami Yugi, was the only voice actor who did not reprise his role as his character. He was replaced with Kousuke Kujirai.
• The characters with storylines from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX do not have lines for when they Tribute Summon a monster. This is most likely because this game uses prerecorded dialogues from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2, and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3, where the formal term for Tribute Summon in Japanese, Release (リリース), was not used in the GX era.
• Jaden Yuki is the only protagonist who does not have special dialogues for his signature card, "Elemental HERO Neos". This is also due to the likelihood that this game uses prerecorded dialogues from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2, and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3, none of which had Jaden give dialogues for his signature card.
• This is the first Tag Force game to include characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.
