Joey Wheeler, known as Katsuya Jonouchi (城之内（じょうのうち）　克也（かつや）, Katsuya Jōnouchi) in the Japanese version, is a character in the Tag Force games. This is a video game version of the anime character, Joey Wheeler.

Profile

童実野（どみの）高校（こうこう）に通（かよ）う高校生（こうこうせい）。
当初（とうしょ）は遊戯（ゆうぎ）をいじめる側（がわ）であったが、遊戯（ゆうぎ）の友（とも）を思（おも）いやる気持（きも）ちに触（ふ）れ、ついには遊戯（ゆうぎ）の親友（しんゆう）になる。
遊戯（ゆうぎ）と親友（しんゆう）であるのと同様（どうよう）に、「もう一人（ひとり）の遊戯（ゆうぎ）」とも熱（あつ）い友情（ゆうじょう）で結（むす）ばれている。

不良（ふりょう）ではあったが、下（した）の者（もの）の面倒見（めんどうみ）も良（よ）く男気（おとこぎ）にあふれた性格（せいかく）で、本田（ほんだ）も城之内（じょうのうち）を憧（あこが）れの存在（そんざい）としてみていた。
ケンカの強（つよ）さはかなりのもの。

一方（いっぽう）、お化（ば）けなどのオカルトは大嫌（だいきら）いで、とても怖（こわ）がる。

デュエルについては初心者（しょしんしゃ）であったが、妹（いもうと）の手術代（しゅじゅつだい）を稼（かせ）ぐため、「決闘者の王国（デュエリスト・キングダム）」に参加（さんか）したことから、数々（かずかず）の強敵（きょうてき）とのデュエルを経験（けいけん）して目覚（めざ）ましく成長（せいちょう）を遂（と）げていき、真（しん）のデュエリストを目指（めざ）していく事（こと）となる。
いつか自分（じぶん）を真（しん）のデュエリストと認（みと）められる日（ひ）が来（き）たら、デュエリストとして闘（たたか）う約束（やくそく）を遊戯（ゆうぎ）と交（か）わしている。

戦士（せんし）族（ぞく）のモンスターを多（おお）く含（ふく）んだデッキを用（もち）い、エースモンスターは「真紅眼の黒竜（レッドアイズ・ブラックドラゴン）」。
「真紅眼の黒竜（レッドアイズ・ブラックドラゴン）」はダイナソー竜崎（りゅうざき）から、また、「時（とき）の魔術師（まじゅつし）」「ベビードラゴン」は遊戯（ゆうぎ）から、「伝説（でんせつ）のフィッシャーマン」は梶木（かじき）漁太（りょうた）から、「人造（じんぞう）人間（にんげん）－サイコ・ショッカー」はエスパー絽場（ろば）から、「インセクト女王（クイーン）」はインセクター羽蛾（はが）から譲（ゆず）り受（う）けたカードであり、デッキそのものが彼（かれ）の戦歴（せんれき）と友情（ゆうじょう）を表（あらわ）しているようである。

He used to bully Yugi at first, but Yugi sympathizing for others moved him, and they became very close friends.
Just like he is close to Yugi, he also has a tight friendship with the other Yugi.

Even while he was a delinquent, he always had a chivalric spirit and looked after those that were weaker than he is, with Honda admiring him.
He is considerably good at fights.

On the other hand, he hates ghosts and other occult things, and finds them very scary.

While he was only a beginner duelist, he entered Duel Kingdom to earn money for his sister's surgery, and experiencing duels against many strong opponents let him achieve remarkable growth, so he now wants to become a true duelist.
He has made a promise to Yugi that they will duel the day he can see himself as a true duelist.

He uses Decks with many Warrior-Type monsters, and his ace monster is Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
He obtained Red-Eyes Black Dragon from Dinosaur Ryuzaki, was given Time Wizard and Baby Dragon by Yugi, received The Legendary Fisherman from Ryota Kajiki, won Jinzo from Esper Roba and earned Insect Queen from Haga, and his Decks almost seem to represent his dueling experiences and friendships.
